Thameside Hospital Radio Audio Archive

Last updated: 27-Apr-2003

Having started to go through a piles of 1/4" tape I found some spools which contained odd bits-n-bobs from my time at Thameside Hospital Radio.

Trails

Some trails for programs. Some are voiced by Vernon Harwood (now working in Local Radio for the BBC), there is one by Billy Panton (RIP) and another by someone who's name completely escapes me.

Indents

Steve Leggett emailed me to say:
P.S: The Whisper Jingle, was actually "me", I recorded it round at John Salim's studio, I think it was in early 1985 if memory serves me.

Naff old jingles

There was a cart with really old jingles on. Currently these are unlabeled so it pot luck :-)

Carl Eve sayings

I TOed for Carl on a Saturday evening and I used to annoy him by recording bits of him and playing them back into his show. It was probably funnier in the studio than it was in the wards...

"Before SXFM came along we used to use Capital Radio to fill our off air hours. CAPITAL 194 is the jingle we used to cut away and start broadcasting."

"Shalala is an old 60s jingle that was around."

"My STEVE HART jingle"

"Two versions of GET TOGETHER WITH THAMESIDE which I think were made by John O'Kill in about 1925."
